This project has been developed for Aciturri S.L. developing an optimization tool to nest aeronautic parts to metal sheets. The use of this tool has improved the cutting efficiency on the metal sheets. So, the material waste has been reduced substantially. The cutting model bears in mind the fiber orientation, the one or two-direction cutting technology and the number of units to cut for each manufacturing order. The tool has proven capacity to assign hundreds of order to thousands of metal sheets available in the warehouse.
